Second brain with Claude and Obsidian

I build a second brain with Claude and Obsidian out of the notes you already have, sorted so you can find anything, with Claude working inside it.

Where you are

Your notes are spread across more apps than you can name, years of them, and the one you need is never where you look. Every time you open Claude it starts from zero, because it has no idea what you already know.

What you get

  • Every note from every app, such as Apple Notes, Evernote, Bear and Google Docs, moved into one Obsidian vault, with not a word of yours changed.
  • Your own writing kept apart from what you've saved from others, so your ideas never get buried.
  • Notes linked to each other only where there's a reason, so related ideas sit together.
  • One inbox for anything new, and Claude files it for you, asking before it moves a thing.
  • Claude working inside your vault, so you can ask what you've written on a subject and build on it.
  • Plain files on your own computer and phone, yours to keep.
  • A guide to your vault, written for you and for Claude.

How it goes

  1. You tell me where your notes live and export them.
  2. I go through everything and draw you a plan for the vault, and you change whatever doesn't fit how you work.
  3. I move it all into Obsidian, sort and link it, and set Claude up to file what comes next.
  4. We walk through it together, and you run it on your own from there.

The work

He made a second brain for me in Obsidian after I threw thousands of files at his head and it came out beautifully.
