Migrate from Replit
To migrate from Replit, your app's code goes to a GitHub repo you own, its data to a database in your name and the app to hosting you control, with Claude Code set up so you keep building by asking.
Where you are
Your app was built on Replit and people use it, and you want it somewhere you own outright, on hosting you choose. Getting the code out is the easy part, and the database, the keys and the hosting are where a move from Replit gets stuck.
What you get
- Your code in your own GitHub repo, cleared of anything that only works inside Replit.
- Your data moved into a Supabase database in your name, checked against the original table by table.
- Your keys for Stripe, OpenAI, email and the rest set up again on the new host.
- Your app hosted where you choose, with your domain moved across.
- Every flow tested on the new setup before the switch, from sign-up to payment.
- Claude Code set up on the repo, so the next change is something you ask for.
- A written record of what moved and how to go back.
How it goes
- You share your Replit app, and I list everything it depends on inside Replit.
- The code goes to GitHub, and the data is copied into a fresh Supabase project and checked.
- The app runs on its new host beside the Replit one while every flow is tested.
- On the day of the switch your data syncs one last time and your domain moves to the new app.
What Replit lets you take with you
Your code comes off Replit easily, since Replit lets you download a project as a zip file or connect it to a GitHub repo. Your keys don't travel with it. They sit in Replit's Secrets tool rather than in the code, and the published app keeps its own set apart from the editor's, so every key is set again on the new host.
Source Replit, Projects and files
Your data takes more care. Since 4 December 2025, the database a new Replit app is built against lives on Replit's own servers and can only be reached from inside the app, never from outside tools. So the data is copied out from inside Replit and checked against the original before anything switches.
The work
The first reply lists what your app needs from Replit and where each part goes next.
