To migrate off Base44, your app's code, data, users and sign-in move off Base44's servers into a GitHub repo and a Supabase database you own, with Claude Code set up so you keep building by asking.

Where you are

You built the app on Base44 and real people use it, and now you want it somewhere you control. You can download the code, and it still won't run anywhere else on its own, because everything behind it stays with Base44.

What you get

  • Your app's code in your own GitHub repo, running on its own, with nothing left calling Base44.
  • Your data moved into a Supabase database in your name, with full access and your own backups.
  • Your users moved across with their accounts, and an email that brings each of them back in on the new app.
  • The work your app does behind the scenes, such as sending an email or taking a payment, rebuilt to run on the new setup.
  • Every flow tested on the new app before the switch, from sign-up to payment.
  • Claude Code set up on the repo, so the next change is something you ask for.
  • A written record of what moved, where it lives now and how to go back.

How it goes

  1. You show me your Base44 app, and I list everything it keeps on Base44's servers.
  2. The code comes out to GitHub and the data into a fresh Supabase project, and the app is rewired to run on them.
  3. The new app runs beside the Base44 one while every flow is tested.
  4. On the day of the switch your data moves one last time, your domain points at the new app, and your users get their email.

What Base44 lets you take with you

Base44 lets you download your app's code as a zip file or connect it to GitHub, on its Builder plan or higher. The code is yours, but it's built to talk to Base44, so your data, your users' sign-ins and your backend functions stay on Base44's servers, and the downloaded app keeps calling them. That's why a copy of the code isn't a way off on its own.

So moving off Base44 means three moves. The data comes out of Base44 and into a database you own, sign-in moves to a service you control, and every place the code calls Base44 is rewired to the new setup. Until all three are done, the app still needs Base44 to run.
