Migrate from Squarespace
Migrating from Squarespace means moving your site into code you own, with every page, blog post and image carried across, including the ones Squarespace's export leaves behind, and Claude Code set up so you change it by asking.
Where you are
Your site runs on Squarespace and looks the way you want, and then the renewal went up. Squarespace raised its prices by up to 26% in July 2026, and you'd rather own the site outright, where you or an AI agent can change anything.

What you get
- Your site rebuilt as code you own, in your own GitHub repo, matched page by page to what's live, phones included.
- Every page carried across, including the portfolio, gallery, event and shop pages Squarespace's export leaves out.
- Every blog carried across with its posts, not only the one the export takes.
- Every image moved into the new site in one go, so nothing is left pointing back at Squarespace.
- Your products, orders and contacts moved across from Squarespace's exports.
- Every page that ranks keeping its address, or sent on to its new one.
- Claude Code set up on the site, so changing a page is a sentence to it.
How it goes
- You send me your Squarespace site, and I list every page, blog and image it holds. Your domain moves out of Squarespace first, so it's yours whatever happens next.
- Squarespace's export carries what it can, and the rest is copied from your live site.
- I rebuild it in code you own, with your shop and forms working and your members' accounts set up again.
- Claude Code is set up on it, and the site goes live on your domain once it matches the old one.
What Squarespace's export carries, and what it leaves
Squarespace exports your site as a file meant for WordPress, and it carries only part of the site. It takes your layout pages, one blog with its posts and comments, and your text and image blocks. It leaves out portfolio, album, event and shop pages, any second blog, your design and your custom styling.
Source Squarespace, Export your site content
Your images can't be downloaded in bulk, only one at a time, so they're copied from the live site instead. Members on a paid plan keep their card with Squarespace, and only they can change it, so they enter it once more on the new site.
