Migrate from Wix

Migrating from Wix means rebuilding your site in code you own, page by page, since Wix sites can't be exported, with your blog, products and contacts carried across and Claude Code set up so you change it by asking.

Where you are

You built your site on Wix and it does the job, but you want it in code you own, where you or an AI agent can change anything without the editor. This page is about leaving Wix, rather than coding inside it with Wix's own tools. Wix's help centre says a Wix site has to run on Wix's servers, so there's no export to take with you.

What you get

  • Your site rebuilt as code you own, in your own GitHub repo, matched page by page to what's live on Wix, phones included.
  • Your blog posts carried across with their images, so nothing you've written is left behind.
  • Your products, orders and contacts moved from Wix into the new site and the tools you choose.
  • Your bookings, member areas and paid plans rebuilt, with a clear note of anything your customers do once, such as setting a new password.
  • Every page that ranks keeping its address, or sent on to its new one.
  • Claude Code set up on the site, so changing a page is a sentence to it.
  • A recorded walkthrough for you or whoever makes the changes.

How it goes

  1. You send me your Wix site, and I list every page, app and form it runs on.
  2. Your domain moves out of your Wix account first, so it's yours whatever happens next.
  3. I rebuild the site in code you own, with your content, products and customers carried across.
  4. Claude Code is set up on it, and the site goes live on your domain once it matches the old one.

What comes out of Wix, and what gets rebuilt

Wix lets your content out as spreadsheets and nothing more. Your CMS collections, contacts, products, orders and form submissions each come out that way, and your blog comes out through its own collection, since Wix doesn't export blog posts to other platforms. The design, every page with its phone layout, the forms and the member areas are rebuilt.

Saved cards are the one thing that can't move at all. Wix Payments doesn't hand them over, so customers on a subscription enter their card once more on the new site.

Let's talk

Everything you've built on Wix only works for as long as you stay.
